An art book of 35 intricately illustrated poems depicting a melancholy fantasy world.
During October 2020, as part of a month-long drawing challenge on instagram, I created a series of ink drawings, each with an accompanying quatrain (four-line poem). My goal was to build a world, geographically and temporally ambiguous, populated by a cast of ghosts and spirits and mysterious creatures (also frogs), alive with magic and curiosity but bathed in the soft, sad glow of autumnal melancholy. This book is the culmination of that project; a collection of dreamlike visions that seem like fragments of some forgotten story. Having spent most of 2020 in some form of lockdown, stuck in a sleeping city, these pieces were also a form of escapism, channelling my yearning for far-off adventures as well as my feelings of isolation and solitude.
A 21 cm (just over 8 inches) square, 76 page hardback book with a gold-foil stamped matt finish cover (due to the foiling process, there may be some small marks in the foil), black endpapers, a custom bookplate, and a stitched spine for extra durability.
Wrapped in custom tissue paper and posted in a book mailer for protection. Will be signed, and can be dedicated to a particular name if you'd like.

I have ordered from Jon several times and I am always astounded at the care and thought that goes into the products and their safe arrival. From the custom tape and stickers featuring more of Jon's art to the personal notecard of thanks (with impeccable handwriting, I might add), I am always able to feel like I am receiving a gift rather than a package. Jon's art is so distinguished and unique, if I didn't live on a teacher's salary I would order more copies of this book for friends and family that I know would also connect with this one-of-a-kind art. Thank you, Jon, for always making your patrons feel like they are receiving a hug, and for sharing your talents that provide a cozy comfort <3

Bwautifully packaged in custom tissue paper and the packaging has cute stickers, feels wrong to throw away! This is a gift and Jon signed it to them. Kept it in the original packaging and wrapped it as the presentation is so nice!
